OF THE ODESSA BRANCH OF THE ASSOCIATION OF OBSTETRICS-GYNECOLOGISTS OF UKRAINE
Decision to establish the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine (instead of the former professional community of obstetricians and gynecologists in the USSR)
It was adopted during the X Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, which took place on September 26, 1996 in Odessa; On January 9, 1997, the NGO was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Since its founding, Professor Oleksandr Oleksiyovych Zelinsky, Vice-President of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, has been elected Chairman of the Odessa Branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

- In 2016, due to changes in the legislation of Ukraine, the registration was updated, changes in the structure were made.

- In 2019, Gulsym Serikbayivna Manasova, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Odessa National Medical University, was elected Head of the Odessa Department.
For 24 years, AASU, in close cooperation and with the support of Odessa National Medical University, Health Departments of Odessa City Council and Odessa Regional State Administration, performs its tasks as a consolidating, methodological and educational center of the public association of obstetricians and gynecologists of Odessa region, the purpose of which is aimed at quality continuing postgraduate education, issues of civil and legal support of obstetricians and gynecologists, members of the Association. Протягом 24 років ОВ ААГУ, у тісній співпраці та за підтримки Одеського національного медичного університету, департаментів охорони здоров'я Одеської міської ради та Одеської обласної державної адміністрації, виконує свої завдання як консолідуючий, методологічний та просвітницький центр громадського об'єднання лікарів акушерів-гінекологів Одеського регіону, мета якого спрямована на якісну безперервну післядипломну освіту, питання цивільного та юридичного супроводу лікарів акушерів-гінекологів, членів Асоціації.

- Annual regional scientific-practical conferences (Odessa House of Scientists, February) from 2003 to 2011 with the participation of leading experts of Ukraine, President of the AASU, Vice-Presidents and members of the AASU Presidium
- Master classes with the participation of foreign partners, leading world experts in gynecological endocrinology (Odessa House of Scientists, "Gardens of Victory", 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007),
Quarterly discussion clubs on the main problems of obstetrics and gynecology 2011-2018 (House of Scientists) - Organization and holding of the "School of Gynecological Endocrinology" - 2012-2018.
- Organization and holding of interregional interdisciplinary scientific-practical conferences together with the Mykolayiv branch of the AASU 2012-2017 (Mykolayiv, Odesa, Belgorod-Dniester).
- Organization and holding of the congress of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine with international participation, scientific and practical conferences with international participation, plenums of AASU-2011 and 2017 (Odesa).
- Organization and holding of the VI International Medical Congress of the South-Eastern European Medical Forum (PSEMF) and the XIV Congress of the All-Ukrainian Medical Society (VULT), Odesa, September 10-12, 2015; (Odesa)
- Organization and holding of annual New Year and Christmas meetings 2003-2018
- Assessment of the quality of medical care (review and expert evaluation of medical documentation) in cases of forensic medical implementations
- Organization and holding of professional educational regional seminars (monthly) on topical issues of obstetrics and gynecology, including on infectious diseases (including in hybrid format) - 2019 - 2021
- Organization and holding of the 1st interdisciplinary scientific-practical conference with international participation "Modern directions of perinatal and reproductive medicine: from the theory of innovative research to practice", dedicated to the memory of teacher, leading obstetrician - gynecologist of Ukraine and Europe, Professor Alexander Zelinsky 17 -April 18, 2021; Odesa
PROSPECTIVE DIRECTIONS OF WORK OF THE ODESSA BRANCH OF THE ASSOCIATION OF OBSTETRICS-GYNECOLOGISTS OF UKRAINE:
- Participation in the process of continuing postgraduate education and assistance in raising the level of professional training of obstetricians and gynecologists
- Participation and assistance in the implementation of the main directions of health care reform in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in close cooperation with local governments and public authorities
- Promoting the further development of perinatal care in the region
- Organization and holding of scientific and practical conferences, including interdisciplinary, symposiums, congresses, plenums and other educational events, including organization and holding of an annual scientific-practical conference dedicated to the memory of prof. Zelinsky OO
- Cooperation with other public organizations (interdisciplinary direction - VULT. Association of Obstetric Anesthesiologists, etc.)
- Strengthening the direction of legal protection and support of obstetricians and gynecologists by concluding an agreement with a legal organization
- Establishment of an expert group for reviewing medical records from among the members of the department
